God is using the men and women that serve in this ministry to make a huge impact on students in our community. There are many opportunities to serve and all of them are vital to our mission. It is our desire to help you find a place to serve that best fits your natural gifting, interests, and schedule.

The Shore
Staff Liaison: Matt Humber, 469.698.2400, matth@lakepointe.org

Campus Team Leader: These leaders build relationships with middle school students during the campus club time at the beginning of each Wednesday night (7:00 - 7:15 pm). You will help us to make sure that every student is known by a caring adult at The Shore. Our goal for every leader is not to teach the students, but to KNOW the students. Time Commitment is 2 hours every Wednesday from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Check-in Team: We need friendly faces to help us make sure that every student is welcomed and checked in at The Shore each week. Leaders will register visitors and welcome students. Time commitment is 1.5 hours every Wednesday from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.

Security Team: This position helps with the safety and care of our students each week. The Security Team is responsible for making sure Pier 419 is a secure environment. Time Commitment is 3 hours every Wednesday from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Cafe Team: The Cafe provides the grub for our students, and is a friendly and inviting place for students to hang out. Volunteers are needed to serve students and help them check out. Time Commitment is 3 hours every Wednesday from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
Uprising
Staff Liaison:Greg Bradford, 469.698.2400, gregb@lakepointe.org

Greeters: These leaders create an inviting atmosphere for students by greeting them as they come in. They look for students who appear lost or confused and help them with the check-in process.

Check-in Team: Check students in using computer system and assisting visitors in finding the visitor check-in area.

Front Desk Team: Assist new visitors with check-in and answer any questions they might have about the night. Sell t-shirts and take all other registrations for events.

Cafe Team: Sells food and drinks and creates a friendly place for students to hang out.

Counseling Team: Provide spiritual counseling after the service.

Security Team: This team provides general security both inside and outside the building.

Coach: These leaders coach a team of student leaders in serving opportunities and ministries in our community.
Fuel Groups
Campus Team Leader (Middle School): The Campus Team Leader will be the primary leader for “Campus Team Time” (About 30 minutes long, immediately following the large group teaching). Basically they are the “Youth Pastor” for their campus team. They will need to prepare to teach, lead discussion, and engage the students with activities that will help their students understand the truths that they are learning about. This is a weekly requirement. Time Commitment is: Saturday 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm, Sunday 9:30 am - 10:30 am or Sunday 11:00 am – Noon.

Campus Crew (Middle School): The Campus Crew will be made up of parents, High School students, and other caring adults. The number one job of the Campus Crew is to be present in the campus team time. They are not in charge of teaching anything. This is the perfect job for a parent or other adult that wants to serve, but doesn’t feel like they are ready to teach. In addition to simply being present, members of the Campus Crew can volunteer to coordinate snacks, follow up with students, coordinate social events, and help coordinate prayer requests. This is a weekly requirement, but there is more flexibility if you need to be out on occasion. Time Commitment is: Saturday 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm, Sunday 9:30 am - 10:30 am or Sunday 11:00 am – Noon.

Fuel Group Leader/co-leader (High School): Responsible for leading discussion each week based on the large group lesson; for assigning students to volunteers on the Fuel Group Leadership Team; to follow up with Fuel Group Leadership Team about staying in contact with assigned students; for adopting an Uprising to support by getting the students involved in working with the Uprising, praying weekly for the Uprising or by helping the Uprising raise funds; for scheduling group service projects and group community outings (or assigning someone on the Leadership Team to schedule/organize these outings); for taking care of your spiritual well being and living a life that reflects your relationship with Christ. Time Commitment is: Saturday 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm, Sunday 9:30 am - 10:30 am or Sunday 11:00 am - Noon.

Fuel Group Leadership Team (High School): Responsible for being personally involved in class each week; for staying in contact with class members assigned to you by the Fuel Group Leader; for sending cards to students for follow up; praying for the spiritual growth and well being of your students; for building relationships with your students by being “involved” in their lives away from church (attending school events, “checking in,” being available, etc); for taking care of your spiritual well being and living a life that reflects your relationship with Christ. Time Commitment is: Saturday 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm, Sunday 9:30 am - 10:30 am or Sunday 11:00 am - Noon.

Fuel Admin Team: Administrative leaders that assist staff and Fuel leaders to promote a welcoming environment for students. You will process attendance and provide reports so that leaders can contact students. This team will assist with checking in students and back up the Admin Captain. Time Commitment is: Saturday 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm, Sunday 9:30 am - 10:30 am or Sunday 11:00 am - Noon.

Fuel Office Volunteers: We need adults to join us during office hours one day each week to help us prepare for the weekend. Duties include paperwork, building preparation, marker board cleaning, and computer work. Time Commitment varies.

Discipleship Groups
Discipleship Group Leader: Meet each week with a group of 4-6 students at the time and place that the group decides. Leader and group members prepare by completing a Bible study before the meeting and memorizing scripture. Leader will facilitate discussion on the Bible study, and hold students accountable to memory verses and accountability questions. Time Commitment is 3 hours per week; day of groups choosing.
